Olusola Akinseye


Olusola Akinseye officially started his career as a fulltime illustrator in 2002. His works have been published in several storybooks, textbooks, periodicals and calenders. He has done extensive work in children and youth publication, he has also serviced clients in other fields (public service, construction, finance, faith…)

Olusola is versatile in vector graphics and illustration as well as in comic book content creation. For over a decade he managed a comic book studio (The Comics Hut) producing well over a 100 quality afrocentric and educational comics for young readers under the Cowrie Comics and Living Scrolls imprints.

Today, he accepts commissions from other clients while also taking time to develop personal projects. You can find out what he is up to from his online journal

In 2007, he was long-listed for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award. And in 2008, he was granted the Macmillian, Illustrator Award for Africa.

Creativity is not just ‘work’ for him, it’s life. And he love it!
